Classroom Clip Chart

Student choices are tracked on a Clip Chart. All students begin the day on green in middle of the chart. Clothespins are moved up or down depending on choices. Clips that are moved down may be moved back up if the teacher sees the student making improved choices. In addition, once a clip is moved up, it may be moved down. All clothespins are moved back to green at the end of the day. Here is an explanation of each level of our Clip Chart:

Purple: Students who move to purple take home a special slip telling about their great day!

 

Blue: Students move to blue for making good choices. Classmates congratulate these students.

 

Green: Students begin on green. They will move up or down depending on their personal choices.

 

Yellow: Students move to yellow as a reminder that the need to follow classroom rules. 

 

Orange: Students who move to orange take a break from all activities to think about their choices.  

Red: Students who move to red will immediately be asked to go to the Responsibility Center. Home contact will be made.
